nighty night!

I haven't taken many photos at night in the past, but inspired by the walm balmy night last night, me, my camera and my tripod ventured out!

Thank you all so much for your lovely encouraging comments. I am getting quite busy and am finding that i don't have a lot of time for both photography and maintaining this blog as much as i would like to so i probably won't be able to reply to each and every comment from now on but i promise i will eventually get around to visiting your blog! Happy snapping everybody!

And we are so glad you did Kathryn! Beautifully captured, an amazing composition and you got the moon just right. Did you ask the ole moon to pose?? Looks like it:-)

@Linerberry: hehe! thanks Liners! i ended up spending a few hours photographing him (due to using long shutter speed and my camera taking ages to process them!) only to find out that in every single shot except this one, the trees were so far out of focus that the images are ruined!!! haha so i am very glad that this one works!!!!!

That is pretty cool! THe light on the clouds is nice and I think I see a star or two!

@PD: thanks PD it was a lovely night to photograph. yeah i can't remember actually seeing those stars when i was taking the photo because the moon was too bright but i like how they showed up in the image - would have been perfect if it was the southern cross though! haha

@MaryP: Thanks Mary. yeah i didn't realise the stars were there (well visible i mean!) due to the bright light of the moon, until i saw the image later. yeah i do intend to do some more soon - though the moon won't be as full for a while!

@Shrig: wow your photos are great!!! i have recently began working really long hours and am finding that i don't have much daylight left in my day to photograph in so i think night shooting might be the way of the future for me! your images give me hope! haha. Thanks!
