welcome to New Zealand...Posted by Kathryn (Warburton, Australia) on 1 December 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Inspired by Ross' photo yesterday i decided to post this image. I am fairly sure that this is looking south - south east down to Lake Tekapo which can just be seen! This image is from my most recent trip. As you can see, the cloud is banking up on the western side of the mountains which it regularly does and which i would later experience the effects of when i began living on the West Coast - the most rain i have ever seen in my life!!! I have been every so lucky with the clear views of the alps on all of my flights into Christchurch from Melbourne. Though I will never forget the time on my first trip when we actually flew in amongst the alps - at one point we tilted and we were actually looking up at Mt Cook! NO JOKE! I could not believe it!!! (sadly i didn't have my camera ready that time!) Thank you all so much for your lovely encouraging comments. I am getting quite busy and am finding that i don't have a lot of time for both photography and maintaining this blog as much as i would like to so i probably won't be able to reply to each and every comment from now on but i promise i will eventually get around to visiting your blog! Happy snapping everybody! Kaha the Kiwi has set off again on his journey around the world to see all of his AM3 friends. Keep up to date with his adventures on his own blog here. Safe travels Kaha and i hope you have a ton of fun! Thanks for viewing my photograph!
