Boxing Day at the MCGPosted by Kathryn (Warburton, Australia) on 6 January 2009 in Sport & Recreation. I love cricket! I have never been a sporty kinda girl and used to hate this game in particular ("it's so boring!!") but in the last few years have really embraced the slow building excitement inherent in the game. Now it is a kind of tradition that me and my Dad visit the gigantic stadium of the Melbourne Cricket Ground every year on Boxing Day to watch the first day of the cricket test. This image was taken late in the day while the fielding team (South Africa) swaps ends between overs. Though Australia ended up losing the 5 day long match (and with it the series!) it was a very enjoyable day and a great way to relax after the mayhem of the lead up to Christmas! Thank you all so much for your lovely encouraging comments. I am getting quite busy and am finding that i don't have a lot of time for both photography and maintaining this blog as much as i would like to so i probably won't be able to reply to each and every comment from now on but i promise i will eventually get around to visiting your blog! Happy snapping everybody! Kaha the Kiwi has set off again on his journey around the world to see all of his AM3 friends. Keep up to date with his adventures on his own blog here. Safe travels Kaha and i hope you have a ton of fun! Thanks for viewing my photograph!
